Hagen Scoops 3 Top Consumer Awards

Pet product manufacturer Rolf C. Hagen (UK) Ltd. has recently scooped 3 prestigious consumer awards in the recent Practical Fishkeeping Readers Poll. Thousands of PFK readers nominated their favourite products, manufacturers and retail outlets in the poll, conducted August-September 2009.

For the third year running, Hagen was voted manufacturer of the year, overcoming competition from the likes of Tetra and Aqua One.

The innovative Fluval U internal filter was voted Freshwater Product of the Year, taking the top spot from the Fluval FX5 Filter which spent the last 3 years in this position. Hagen’s Fluval U filter was launched late 2008 and has fast become the UK’s most popular internal filter thanks to its ease of use, innovative flow controls and unmatched mechanical and biological filtration performance. The final award went to Hagen’s Fluval EDGE aquarium, taking the runner’s up position in the Freshwater Product of the Year category. EDGE represents a new standard, with features and performance not previously seen in small aquaria. Professional 3 stage filtration, quality glass construction, halogen lighting and a unique ‘top down’ view are just a few reasons EDGE bagged its runners up place; to find out more click here.

“These awards are testament to the forward thinking views embodied by Hagen and our ability to consistently bring products to market that consumers want, enjoy and value”, said Hagen UK’s General Manager, Adrian Burgess. “Quality, design and innovation are the bywords we live by so it is always gratifying to know our hard work and dedication is appreciated by the fishkeeping public. I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the Hagen team to extend our thanks to all our customers and stockists for their continued support.”
